Taylor Nicole Wayment, 29, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on December 2, 2023 due to undiagnosed chronic coronary artery disease. Her family is deeply saddened by her sudden and unexpected death.
Taylor Wayment was born on March 24, 1994 in Englewood, Colorado to Roland and Thais (Shoemaker) Wayment. In her childhood, Taylor was full of light, wit, and a love for learning. Taylor spent her summer days at the swimming pool and continued to excel in club, high school, and later college swimming. Outside of the water, Taylor spent her days reading books and loving life.
Taylor graduated from the Lakewood High School International Baccalaureate and went on to study psychology at Knox College and the University of Colorado Denver.
In 2020, Taylor graduated from the University of Colorado Denver with a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology and she later started her first career in research administration at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
Taylor is the eldest of three children. She leaves behind her loving grandmothers, parents, sisters, dog, and many extended family and friends. They include grandmothers, Karen “Mimi” Shoemaker and Edith Wayment; parents, Roland and Thais (Shoemaker) Wayment; sisters, Caitlyn and Peyton Wayment; uncles and aunts, Mark and Joan Wayment, Kevin and Christie Wayment, Darren Shoemaker, and Eric Shoemaker; cousins, Laura (Wayment) Miller, Matthew “Matt” Wayment, Patricia “Fish” (Wayment) Jerant, Jenna (Wayment) DiPrima, Trey Wayment and Decker Shoemaker; and dog, Kenzie Wayment. Taylor is preceded in death by her grandfathers Ronald “Papa” Shoemaker and William Ross Wayment.
Taylor had the biggest heart and the most beautiful smile. She was a private and quiet person, but also very witty and fun! She was fearless and independent, yet sensitive and incredibly compassionate. She loved the snow, Harry Potter, Taylor Swift, and her dog. She was strong-willed and stubborn, but these traits defined Taylor. They were part of who she was, and her strength undoubtedly helped her deal with life’s challenges. Taylor suffered from chronic medical issues, including Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) and severe autoimmune diseases.
Taylor will be remembered for her strength and resilience she shared with her family, friends, and coworkers. She truly loved each of them; to know Taylor is to know love, happiness, and laughter. When her time came, she carried herself with dignity, pride, and full of love for everyone and everything around her. She will be missed today, tomorrow, forever, and always.
