Thomas Knox Sr. Obituary

Thomas (Tom) Michael Knox Sr., 89, passed away peacefully on April 4,2026 in Englewood, Colorado, his wife and daughter were with him. He was a loving and devoted Husband, Father, Uncle and Friend.  He was a Veteran and served his country. He was known for his friendliness, kindness, and a fun sense of humor that would make people laugh, feel comfortable and welcomed.  He was a Catholic and Christian person who had a love for God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit. He liked sharing his faith with his family and friends.

He was born in Chicago, Illinois, where he grew up, and the family moved later to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Once he graduated from High School he enlisted in the Navy Reserves.  He was honorably discharged from that branch to enlist and serve in the United States Air Force.

Tom met and married (69+ years)the love of his life Casilda M. (Romero) Knox in Denver Colorado when he was in the military. They both were at the USO club.  Where he asked her to dance and their love journey began, and they were tied to the hip from that time on.  His military took them to Columbus Ohio and Albuquerque New Mexico. After being honorably discharged from the United States Air Force, Tom and Casilda decided to move back to Colorado to live and raise their family.

Some fun facts about Dad he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life; like taking drives or road trips with his wife and family to see the beauty of Colorado and other states, going for a walk, having coffee/tea and apple pies at McDonald’s, and striking up a conversation with either the employees or customers.  Some of his favorite things to eat was chicken nuggets, fries or chick-fil-a strips and waffle fries with honey mustard or chick-fil-a sauce.  Dad like to read, listen to music, and watch his favorite programs FOX news and the history channel.  But most of all Dad truly loved his wife and soulmate, his sons and daughter.  He was all about his family, and was always interested in what was going on in their lives.  He was a mentor to his family and friends.  We miss you so much Dad, and we will miss the signs of the cross you would place on our foreheads. Telling us to always say prayers thanking God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit for all our blessings and lives.
