Timothy James Hill

Timothy James Hill, a beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and uncle to many, aged 61 of Littleton, CO, suddenly passed away March 24, 2023 at his home with his wife by his side.

Tim was born in Denver, CO to Larry and Nancy Hill in 1961.  In July 1991 he married Susan, his wife of 31 years.  Tim and Sue met through the Jaycee organization during a state conference during the spring of 1990.

Tim held several occupations over his life time but the one he cherished the most was working with developmentally disabled adults.  Tim helped organize and lead activities for the adults while they were away from their homes at their day program.  The adults always gave him a reason to laugh and brought such joy to his life.

Giving to his community was also paramount to Tim.  He was involved in the Colorado Jaycees, associated with several chapters throughout the state.  Tim was never more at home than when he was helping children. He adored them and they, him! His generous spirit was evident with every project that he attended and he never failed to give to others. Tim was also never reluctant to ask for donations to help fund any cause that he was working on, especially when the Littleton chapter raised funding to go toward replacement of books and computers after the Columbine tragedy. Because of this generosity and willingness to be involved, he was awarded, the highest honor, a lifetime membership as a Jaycee becoming Senator #58175.  After settling in Littleton, Tim got involved with Western Welcome Week, which celebrates the Littleton community and benefits many local non-profit organizations. During the years that Tim was involved, he served on the board and was the event chairman of non-profits that participated in Western Welcome Week. He loved mingling with the community and took it as his personal challenge to get out to the over 40 events held during the 10-day celebration.

When Tim was not giving of himself, he loved getting out to the lakes around the state and fishing.  He enjoyed the peace and quiet of the outdoors and the picnics with Sue.  His more stressful hobbies included following the Denver Broncos (or Donkey’s as he would call them) and yelling at the referees on TV.  He also enjoyed gaming with several friends on the computer.

Tim was preceded in death by his father Larry and his daughter Theresa.  He is survived by his wife Sue, his mother Nancy, brother Tom and son Bradley, brother Kenny, his daughter Stacey and husband Chris, his step-son Steve and wife Robin, his four grandchildren Hannah, Aidan, Opal, and Otto.
