Vera Earlene Lawson of Littleton, CO, passed away in her sleep on the 22nd of June of natural causes. She was 89 years old. She was born in Kansas City, MO in 1930 to William Earl and Vera Maude Harrison. She grew up in the Freeman, MO area graduating from Harrisonville High School before moving to the Kansas City area. Marrying James Herbert Lawson in 1952 they began their family in Kansas City before relocating to Littleton, CO in 1970.
Vera was a loving and caring wife, sister, mother and grandmother. She worked as a bookkeeper, librarian, secretary and hand model as well as being a homemaker. Her life touched the lives of many with her friendship, honesty and laughter. She enjoyed family gatherings for food, fun, games, cards and the occasional martini.
Vera is survived by daughters Donna Fellman (Aiy’m), Jean Gerstenberger (Keith), son John Lawson (Dana), grand children Evan L., Eric L., Elise G., and Caden G., and brothers Larry Smart and Garry Smart (Janice). She was preceded by husband James and brother Ronald Harrison.
No services are scheduled though the family will be gathering for a remembrance in the near future. She would wish that all who loved her know she enjoyed her life, cherished time with family and friends, and would want the best for everyone.
