William Kenny Obituary

William Robert Kenny aka William Patrick Kenny was born on September 11,1924, in New York to Margaret aka Helen (Robinson) and Robert William Kenny. Bill entered eternal life on December 24th, 2020.

Bill served in the 10th Mountain Division during WWII, in Italy and received Holy communion from the Pope. He came home to New York and married Lorretta Mary Murphy and had eight children, Rosemary, Danny, Peggy, Maureen, Paul, Beth, Matt and Mark.

Bill worked three jobs to make ends meet. In 1965, he moved the whole family from Levittown, New York to California, in a nine passenger station wagon -  all ten of us. We camped out along the way in a tent made for ten. Later on, three years after his Lorretta passed away, he reconnected with a friend from the past, Toni Massamino, and they were married at St. Rose of Lima in Simi Valley California. They moved to Littleton, Cololorado and worshiped at St. Frances Cabrini, Church in Littleton. For many years, they traveled the world together.

The Knights of Columbus remember him as one who always brought donuts every Wednesday. Bill always kept close with his family, brothers Don, Tommy, Bobby and Joseph and his sister Barbara (the only one who was allowed to call him Billy), and all his children.

He loved going to Charlies Browns Bar & Grill every Saturday night and sit by the piano bar. The piano player would always play Toni and Bill's song, "Always".

Memorial and Burial services at Ft. Logan National Cemetery will be held at a later date.
