William Robert Benton passed away peacefully on June 11, 2025 in Parker, CO.
Funeral services will be held at 10am, June 19th at Drinkwine Family Mortuary, 999 W. Littleton Blvd. Reception following at Romano’s Restaurant in Littleton. Burial will be at Ft. Logan Cemetery, June 24th at 9:30 am. Please arrive at Staging Area B no later than 9:15 am.
William (Bill) Benton was born to Arthur and Rose Benton at their home in Denver, CO, October 14, 1928. He enlisted in the Navy and served as a Navy photographer in Guam from 1946-1949. He graduated from the University of Denver with a business degree.
He married Elizabeth (Betty) Nusbaum on June 27, 1954. He worked for Burt/John Elway Chevrolet from 1964-2024. He retired in 2024 at the age of 95.
Bill was a long time resident of Englewood, CO. He was involved in Jaycees, Sertoma Club and the Elks Club.
William Benton is preceded in death by His Wife Betty, his parents Arthur and Rose, His sisters Lucille and Evelyn, and brother Ray. Survived by his children William (Rhonda) and Cindy (Gary), granddaughter Lisa, Step grandson Ben (Bianca), and Great grandchildren Eva, Cameron and Jace.
Bill is best known for his love of golf, Lake Powell, clock repair, and dancing.
