Welcome to the memorial page for

Patrick Michael McCarron

September 24, 1964 ~ July 14, 2016 (age 51) 51 Years Old

On July 14th, 2016, Patrick McCarron’s bicycle gained wings and left this world to ride the beautiful paths of clouds, rainbows, and stars, taking him to the heavens above.  Patrick died peacefully in his sleep of a heart attack, leaving behind three incredible sons in his image, and a wife of almost 24 years.

Patrick was an avid cyclist, and rode his bike most days to and from work and beyond.  At the age of 51, he still raced competitively, and could tackle any bike path, road, or mountain trail with ease and complete joy.  His love for biking translated into family bike rides and transporting his sons via bike to and from school any chance possible.  He was also a 3rd degree Black belt in Tae Kwon Do, and was an active and very popular instructor at ATA Karate Denver.

Patrick was also an incredible cook and gardener.  He taught his wife to cook, but was always the expert at baking apple pie no matter how hard she tried to out-bake him.  He was an avid reader, trivia expert, and a self-taught mechanic for his 1989 Toyota Land cruiser – one of the loves of his life.  Patrick was an incredible father to his sons, and spent many hours chatting with them about anything and everything  - computers, technology, biking, hiking, girls – anything that mattered that day in that moment. Patrick also loved to take his family on adventures - anything from a fun dinner outing, to a walk on the bike path, to a trip across the country.

Patrick was a brilliant and very hardworking entrepreneur, and owned and operated his own business, Vatix Services, LLC, for several years. His areas of expertise included software development, IT, and agile team development. No matter how busy his work life became, he always found time to laugh and enjoy life – and not take life too seriously too often.

Patrick will be dearly missed for his incredible humor, caring attitude, and love of life and family.  Patrick is survived by his wife, Jeannie (Jiji), and his three sons, David, Michael, and Maximus. His parents, Thomas and Evelyn McCarron. His sister, Evelyn (Brian) Johnson. Brothers, Joe (Julie), Tim, Michael (Caroline), and Dennis (Marjorie). He will also be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews, and his in-laws from the Jones side.
