I went to USM with Pat. He was a great and fun guy. Everyone loved him. Last night, I had a dream about him. Today, I looked him up and I had no idea he had left this world & gone to heaven. God bless his wife and sons. I am deeply sorry this happened. I apologize this is late as I had no idea. I knew Pat loved bicycles and I knew he'd always be successful. I pray for all his family members. Love in Christ.

Dear Gigi and Boys,
Tom and I were so sad to hear about Patrick's death. He was such a larger than life, full of spunk guy. I cannot begin to imagine what you and your boys are going through but Tom and I are praying for you in this incredibly hard time. We see cyclists on the road and immediately think of him. We are so very very sorry. With love. Patty and Tom

Words cannot describe the effect Mr. McCarron had on our ATA Community for many years here in Lakewood, Colorado. I originally met him when teaching his two oldest boys taekwondo when they attended Montessori Peaks Academy. When they made the transition to our ATA school, Patrick was quick to join his boys (whom he adored) in class. From that moment on, he was a regular face on the mat. He impacted so many with his enthusiasm that even while a beginner himself, he inspired everyone around him. After the birth of his 3rd son, Patrick decided to stay closer to his home area and attended the ATA next to his son's daycare and seamlessly continued to make an impact on a new ATA community. You were taken much too young... Your life is a reminder not to waste one minute. Rest in peace. To your wife and sons, we are here for you. Please never hesitate to reach out. Respectfully and in love, Sr. Master Corina Black

A great man was lost. Mr Mccarron was Trenton's karate instructor. He made such a positive lasting life long impression on Trenton. He was always available making extra efforts and time to help Trenton prepare for tournaments. We can't say enough wonderful things about him and again such lasting memories for Trenton. We are so grateful to have had time with him. I hope your family finds comfort in knowing he touched so many lives in a good way and is now in a better place.

I was quite shocked and saddened at the notice from Jiji about Pat's passing. He was always so fit, thus his death is hard to grasp. Pat and I first crossed paths at Dames & Moore, where he was an IT guru, and found we had a common interest in competitive cycling. We were then on the Schwab Cycles Racing Team for a number of years, during which Pat often showed his ability and endurance in jumping out of a pack late in a race, "putting the hurt" on the other guys, as he would say. He won the State Time-Trail Championship--perhaps more than once. But the quality that we loved about Pat was his humor in the race, treating it as a great adventure. He regaled us with how he decided (or Jiji decided) that criteriums and pack racing were no longer on the menu when he was involved in a domino-effect crash in downtown Longmont during the Category IV State Criterium Championships. He woke-up lying on a sidewalk staring at a business front with gold-leaf etching on the door (law office he surmised later) and he struggled to figure out if he should know what the letters mean! We in the bike racing community and at Schwab Cycles Racing are saddened by this loss and want to extend our sympathy to Jiji and the boys.

At this sad time, when something as sad as this happens, there are no answers.
There are countless reasons why others will remember Patrick's life.
Patrick was so helpful to me and his presence will be missed.
So sorry for your loss

Praying for the comfort of God to rest upon your entire family as you grieve this enormous loss... Patrick was a gifted Martial Artist, I had the pleasure of getting to know him and work with him at ATA events. He was always so joyful and gracious to everyone. He will be missed greatly by his ATA family....
