Bernie Smith - What a terrible loss and a wonderful legacy. Bernie was the epitome of a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She grappled with the loss of her first daughter, and then journeyed on to give love and attention to her other children and grandchildren. Bernie made every day a pleasant day. She attended to friends and listened to them. She was a ton of fun, with clever retorts.

A woman with many talents - Bernie taught not only kindergarten, but PE and Home Ec. She was a master teacher in all these areas.

Bernie valiantly went through her cancer struggle, never a whine, whimper, or complaint. Her courage was admirable.

I hope the Smith family takes the high spirit and courage of Bernie into their travels forward. May they be surrounded by the love of Bernie.
