Steven and Linda,

After further conversation with my mom she asked me to pass on these two stories.  First, my mom remembers your mom baking and giving her a cake after she was in the hospital.  She remembers it as being a delicious German Chocolate.  But then she was not sure if it was a carrot cake.  Regardless it was thoughtful and delicious.  Next, she loved having your dad give her Buick the Stanton treatment.  She remembers him saying to her once that he liked working on her car because she kept the cleanest engine in Denver.

We hope these anecdotes put a smile on your faces.

Steven, Linda, and families;

Please be sure that we have great memories of your family.  Of course I can never forget my trip with your family to Lewiston.  Also the many times your dad put me in the car with you so that we could ski at Loveland.  Somehow he was happy spending the day in the lodge, just knowing that we were having a great time.

I say we, because I also just spoke with my brother Patrick and my Mom.  They each also wanted to express their sympathies for you.

I am glad that you and I were just able to talk on the phone.  I am glad that you feel blessed.  I am glad that your dad was ready to move on.  For me, your dad was a very good man.  He liked things in order.  He loved to make things right for people.  It frustrated him when life was not always orderly and easy to explain.  Now things are in order again.

Your dad loved you and would give everything for you.  We all know that.  We also know that our love is not always perfect.  Our love here is only a glimpse of the love that never fails.  God is love.  Don may not have said or ever expressed much about God, but every act of love has God as its source.  Love never fails.  Love is plumb and square.

My friend I care about you.  Now go and make sure that everything is plumb and square.

Kevin, Patrick, and Phyllis Keating
