My name is Jed Roberts and I was lucky enough to be able to call Frank a friend and football teammate for four years at the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, Colorado. I roomed with Frank, Tom Langer, Tom Cabibi, Tom Gilida and Shane Burr during my last year in Greeley. Talk about a fun time! Frank was always the glue that held everyone together. Frank was a gentle man with a kind disposition. He was always looking to make sure that everyone was included and he was a lot of fun to spend time with. Frank played a prominent role in some of the best times in my life. I will never forget him. All the best to Stacie, the kids and the rest of Frank's family.

Heavy heart hearing about Frank. I got to know Frank during pre season of football & women's soccer. We were on the quarter system back then & sports started a month before classes. We were in the same dorm. He was a great friend back then and I am sorry to have lost contact with him after college. Prayers for healing hearts through this difficult time. Blessings to you all.

I am crushed to have lost such an incredible friend. I am devastated that I didn't have the chance to tell Frank how much he meant to me and always . He was such a positive influence on me while we were teammates in college. He taught me to be a leader and brought a struggling football program forward with his hard work and determination. We have lost a great man and I will miss him.

I worked with Frank at the Beverly Theater in Peoria. While it's been so many years, I remember him so well and the fun times we had at work. I followed him during his NFL career and could not be more sad to learn of his passing. Sending my most concern condolences to his wife and children, and the entire Wainwright family.

I remember when Frankie moved in down the street (Vincent) from us in Peoria Heights. Frankie was 2 years younger than me. It didn't take long for us to realize that Frankie was immediately the fastest kid in the neighborhood. I played basketball with Glenda at Monroe Avenue Grade School (teams were co-ed back then). Frankie was a fun-loving kid...always a smile on his face. He would hang out with the older kids and was very easy-going. I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
I moved away a couple of years after the Wainwrights moved in but followed Frankie's career in the NFL. It didn't surprise me at all to hear he was in the NFL. Sounds like he had a much bigger impact on the world outside of football. Condolences to his wife and family.
Peace...Don Tripp

To All of Frank's Family,
I am very sorry to hear this sad news. As I read the condolences, it is so apparent that Frank III had a great, positive impact on many, many people. You know I hadn't seen him since he was a very young boy. I have many happy memories of those days long ago when Frankie, Glenda, and Lisa were little kids, playmates of my little kids. I hope you all have many wonderful memories of the years between. Special love to Frank II, my friend since first grade.

Dear Stacie and family,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I am Tom Cabibis' Mom and while I have not seen Frank since he was a Greeley Bear, I've never forgotten the gentle Bear, off the field that is, and have stayed in touch through Tom. He was always kind, respectful and fun during my visits, a wonderful young man. Tom has told me how helpful Frank was when Tom was dealing with the loss of his Dad years ago and I am most thankful. I know you are already missing Frank terribly, but I also know that it will get better, don't how or when or why, but it will. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers.
God Bless,

Rather than feel sad, let's remember our friend, brother, teammate, partner and loved one as:
Gone Fishin'
I've finished life's chores assigned to me,
So put me on a boat headed out to sea.
Please send along my fishing pole
For I've been invited to the fishin' hole.
Where every day is a day to fish,
To fill your heart with every wish.
Don't worry, or feel sad for me,
I'm fishin' with the Master of the sea.
We will miss each other for awhile,
But you will come and bring your smile.
That won't be long you will see,
Till we're together you and me.
To all of those that think of me,
Be happy as I go out to sea.
If others wonder why I'm missin'
Just tell 'em I've gone fishin'
