John set an amazing example of true and enduring friendship for me. He and my Dad stayed friends for so many years and seems able to get together, even after a long time, and have fun. I noticed how, out of friendship for my Dad, John made the effort to know and show support for our family. He was a special man and I am grateful to have known him!

I knew John from high school at St. Francis. He always sat behind me. He was friendly, witty, had a great personality. Good football and baseball player too. Last saw John 61 years ago, but easily remember him. I'm sad he died. I'll pray for the family.
