Kathy interviewed me for the Speech/Drama position at Lincoln High School and it was her vote that confirmed my position for the next 21 years. She was always encouraging and always took on hard jobs, like coordinating a social empowerment program called Community of Caring. It took a lot of talent and dedication to point all the parts of that program in the same direction. Kathy was also English Department Chair for a year. She was a wonderful and steady colleague who always put others before herself.

Mrs. Battaglia was my drama teacher at Lincoln. We were her first class and group she did theatre productions with. She was so great to us. Fun, down to earth and even though she was our favorite she never let us get away with anything. That, is what make a great teacher. She even had us over to her house for dinner once. We felt really special. She was a really important part of my High School life. God bless her always and my condolences to her family. XO.

Missy and I are saddened by the passing of Kathy. Kathy was like an Aunt to me. I will always have fond memories of her.

So sorry to hear this sad news. I knew Kathy from the DU Faculty Wives Club and also from church. She was a very dear lady.
