My father, Carl Johannsen, taught high school boys physical education in Burlington, Iowa and was a friend of Mr. Baker. When I first moved to CO in 1972, I was fortunate to meet Mr. and Mrs. Baker and consider them friends. They volunteered to watch/babysit my 5 year old son a couple of times for me to have a break as a single mother. My son was enthralled with Mr. Baker's "magic" tricks. Both Mr. and Mrs. Baker were very kind people. My sincere condolences.

What a great man Kent Was?. For all the time i work with Kent, not a day i ever saw him frowned or angry. He was a very gentle man with a gentle soul that truly appreciate whatever you do for him. His favorite saying was "thanks a millions" when you do something for him. I know that he's in a better place and he will be greatly missed.

May the Baker family know that they had a most wonderful human being in their midst. Ken Baker was my first principal at Euclid Junior High, and how happy I was. He coached me and encouraged me. I was truly blessed to know him as my first mentor. I last saw him at Las Delicious with his daughter and granddaughter and recognized him because of the way he wore his hat. What an admirable human being. He was certainly special on this universe.
