I will always remember and have great respect for mr. Chavez I have a story to tell about him and what a kind man he was and the leader at a teacher. My father Gilbert had a friendship with Mr Chavez. I was selling magazines for our school and my father took me to see Mister Chavez. My dad sent me into the office by myself and there I was with mr. Chevez and me a 10 year old boy I told him about our magazines and what we had to offer he sat there and listened to me as I gave my sale speech to him. At the end he bought Many magazines from me. From that day forward I've never been afraid of public speaking or sales . I attributed him for these skills and thank him everyday for what he taught me thanks once again Mr Chavez

To Mr. C's Family and Loved Ones:
It was my distinct privilege to work for Mr. C. and A.J. for 27 years (Burt Chevrolet / Group). . . I have many memories of Mr. C.; and 2 distinct recollections that I'll share:
1. Walking into Mr. C's Office at old Burt Chevrolet on occasion, and always being struck with his picture of he and former President Jimmy Carter. I am Politically wired and engaged, and that photo always internally "gigged" me given my political Affiliation. My Boss/ Owner, having his picture with the 1980 Opponent of President Reagan, who I actively in the '76 National Convention of our Party, was a Volunteer Youth Staffer in Kansas City for President Reagan's -to be - Campaign! :)
2nd. A couple Decades later, while working in a different Burt Organization: talking with Mr. C. on the phone and he Inviting me to come by his Corporate Office for a chat. Mrs. C. was there, and we had great conversation for a half hour or so. Both she and he shared my fondness for a local Christian AM 910, Radio Station. We talked of different topics, and ended it in a shared Prayer time. Frankly, a precious Memory.
My Sincerest Condolences to the grieving Ones. . . Mr. and Mrs. C. continue in our Memory, and are missed.

I worked for Mr. C for many years. It was a "Love, Hate Relationship" He was firm, but fair. I was one of the few that got to see the other side of Mr. C. He had a great love of motorcycling. RIP Mr. C
