Nancy and Tim,
My thoughts and prayers are with you. I have a lot of good memories - New Orleans, Galveston and many more. She was a gracious when you visited in her home. The last time she came to Beaumont, she wanted to go to the $ store. We have about 8 - we made every one of them. She had a ball and made several purchases.

Dear Nancy, I don't know if you remember me. I worked for Dr & Mrs Sargent for many years when you and Bernie were children.
I send my prayers and deepest sympathy to You and Your family. Remember that there is no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
Your parents was very good to me and my children, I never forgot them.
God Bless You and Your Family.

Dearest Nancy, Tim and family,

Steve and I were so saddened to hear of Aunt Zelma's passing.

I usually called her each Friday or Monday and was always amazed that she instantly recognized my voice! Her sunny disposition and sweet southern voice were a delight to my ears. I will miss our conversations deeply.

She was very dear to both of us. Especially to me, of course, because I have so many happy memories of her throughout my life. I will always treasure her, Uncle Lee and Bernie and look back on the many happy, sweet & fun times we shared….Fireball XL5 (the cat & the show), the Hazel Street house ( and the fact we almost burned it down!), birthdays, holidays, The Cotton Bowl, Annie Laurie and so many other precious times and people!

Aunt Zelma and Uncle Lee were so loving and sweet to Mama & me...and Bernie was like a beloved brother. During my childhood people would ask me, “Don’t you hate being an only child?” I remember being perplexed because I never felt like an only child because I was always with my cousins! I am thankful for so many happy memories!

It gives me so much joy to think that they are all together now…

Steve and I are so sorry that we won’t be able to attend the services for Aunt Zelma.

We will be praying for all of you.

Love,

Leah & Steve
